> PROCESS MANAGEMENT ENGINEER
We are seeking a highly skilled process engineer to assist with the design and implementation of our company processes. As Process Engineer at UAM, you will help drive the organization from a hands-on approach to higher performance levels through the concept of continuous improvement. This includes developing and implementing process strategies, managing process resources, optimizing current processes, and maintaining process documents. Ultimately, the successful candidate will maintain the efficiency of production to reduce costs. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in process design, excellent technical skills, high-level analytical skills, and a degree in engineering. However, UAM is considering an entry level individual who is committed to working hard, developing a career in the fenestration industry, and learning about our business.
Roles/Responsibilities/Requirements
- Understand the cradle to grave process.
- Performing risk management.
- Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing processes.
- Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees working with the production process.
- Collaborative with the senior team, quality assurance, and production to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Build models for 5S and lean manufacturing.
- Review plant ergonomics to maximize efficiency.
- Drafting processes to reduce costs and improve production rates.
- Develop standardized operating instructions for the upgrades process.
- Consistently monitor the upgrade systems.
- Improve overall KPSs and the associated dashboard.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of a Quality Assurance – Quality Control Manual.
- 4 Year Degree in Engineering: Mechanical – Civil – Construction Management – Architecture.
- 1 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of engineering software.
- Ability to project manage and work independently.
- Experience with CAD – AutoCad – Monday – Bluebeam – Revit helpful, but not critical.
- Strong work ethic focused on accurate job completion, on time and within spec.

> FABRICATION/ASSEMBLY
Ideal candidates must have attention to detail in quality; be able to read a tape measure, read drawings, use an impact drill, caulk, and lift a minimum of 50 – 70 pounds. The proper operation of equipment and safe work habits are essential. Reliability, a positive attitude, and team mindset are tools for success.
> CARPENTER
Ideal candidates must have attention to detail in quality, basic to advanced woodworking/carpentry skillset, be able to picture how the product will fit in crate and fit the crate securely around product, be comfortable with technology for reporting, have the ability to use and provide own hand tools necessary for the job, be able to complete necessary paperwork to process work through the department, and lift a minimum of 50 – 70 pounds. > MATERIAL HANDLER
Ideal candidates must have attention to detail in quality, the ability to verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries, correctly identify, label and place every product, keep a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory, handle returns by completing technical documentation and other required communication, keep all material handling equipment in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance, and collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries and replace damaged products, and lift a minimum of 50 – 70 pounds. > MATERIALS SUPERVISOR
United Architectural Metals Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is responsible for being a department floater and is required to be knowledgeable of all responsibilities within the department or field. The role is a complex one. This position is also responsible for working closely with the Project Managers, Project Coordinators and the production teams resolving issues and serving as a link between subordinates and upper management. The goal is to ensure that operations are carried out productively internally as well as deliveries to the field to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
> PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
United Architectural Metals is looking for a full-time Production Supervisor. They will be responsible for supervising a production team, have the ability to lead that team and drive success, motivate a strong work ethic, and ensure production levels are met. The production supervisor will also be sure to enable a safe working environment, that is efficient, effective, and produces the highest quality product for our clients. > CAD TECHNICIAN
Join our preconstruction department in this unique opportunity to work alongside world-famous architecture firms to develop custom building enclosures across the United States. Candidates should have experience in drafting and designing detailed drawings in 2D and 3D utilizing AutoCAD, Rhino, and Revit.
> PROJECT MANAGER
Ideal candidates must be able to attend design assist meetings and collaborate with architects, owners, and construction management teams while maintaining budget, schedule and quality. Candidates should possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and management/organizational qualities, along with dynamic leadership skills in a team-oriented working environment.
> DESIGN TECHNICIAN (3D MODELING)
Position available in North Canton, OH. Design and develop 3D digital fabrication models for architectural structures, including walls and facades, utilizing modeling software Rhinoceros, 3ds Max and documentation software AutoCad.
